The anime will premiere in Japan on July 5.
J-Novel Club is releasing the novel series in English, and it describes the story:
After failing the final exam for his dream job at the royal court, promising young sorcerer Allen wants nothing more than to retreat to a simple life in the countryside. Unfortunately for him, he can't even afford the train fare! His only solution is to get a job, but his one lead is anything but modest—Duke Howard, one of the kingdom's most powerful nobles, needs a private tutor for his daughter Tina.
Although Tina possesses remarkable intellectual abilities, she lacks the ability to cast spells. With the entrance exam for the esteemed Royal Academy quickly approaching and magical aptitude being necessary, can Allen employ his distinctive style of magic to aid Tina in overcoming her magical deficiency? This conundrum has stumped even the most skilled sorcerers in the kingdom. Moreover, it is unclear whether Tina's father, who holds the title of duke, approves of Allen's involvement.
