Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid screens in October; 1st 7 episodes of Overlord screen in November
On Saturday, Crunchyroll declared that they are introducing a new program called "Crunchyroll Anime Nights". This program will feature anime screenings across the United States each month. The screenings will include anime films, selected television episodes, as well as sneak peeks of upcoming streaming series. Additionally, classic and anniversary titles will be shown. These screenings will occur on the third Monday of every month.
Over 225 theaters across the United States will showcase the film, including popular chains such as Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, AMC Theatres, Regal, Cinemark Theatres, Harkins Theatres, and Landmark Cinemas.
The lineup for October through December includes:
- Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved on October 20
- OVERLORD - A Celebration of the Anime's 10th Anniversary on November 17
- Crunchyroll Anime Nights: Secret Sneak Peek! on December 15
The screening of Overlord will feature the first seven episodes of the first season.
In December, Crunchyroll will showcase certain anime shows for the very first time prior to their official release on their platform.
In June, Crunchyroll declared that they obtained the global (excluding Asia) film rights for Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved ( Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Samishigariya no Ryū ).
On June 27th, 1990, the movie was launched in 190 Japanese cinemas. Tatsuya Ishihara directed it (he is known for Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S and Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!).
