Film opens in Japan on September 19




On Friday, Lotte Cinema posted a Vietnamese-subtitled trailer for Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc on their website. This trailer showcases that the film will be released in Vietnam on September 26th.

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) bought global distribution rights for the movie. They plan to launch it in US and UK cinemas on October 29th, while it will be released earlier in over 80 countries on September 24th.

In Japan, the movie will be released on September 19th. Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada are singing the ending theme song "JANE DOE," which was composed by Yonezu. Additionally, Yonezu is also performing the movie's theme song "IRIS OUT." Previously, Yonezu had composed and performed the opening theme song "KICK BACK" for the television anime.

Reina Ueda plays Reze in the film.

Denji became “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with a devil's heart, and is now part of Special Division 4's devil hunters. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a girl who works in a café.

In October 2022, the television anime series was launched on TV Tokyo and several associated stations, in addition to being made available on Amazon Prime Video. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the anime in more than 200 countries worldwide.

Crunchyroll describes the story:

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.

On one occasion, Denji meets with treachery and loses his life. In his final moments, he enters into an agreement with Pochita and comes back to life as "Chainsaw Man," a being imbued with a malevolent spirit.

In December 2018, Fujimoto launched the "Chainsaw Man" manga in Weekly Shonen Jump. This first part of the storyline was called "Kōan" (Public Safety) and concluded in December 2020. Following that, the second part of the series titled "Gakkō-hen" (School Arc) began on Shueisha 's Shonen Jump+ service in July 2022. "Chainsaw Man" has won the Best Manga award at The Harvey Awards for three consecutive years.

In September to October 2023, a stage play based on a manga was performed in both Tokyo and Kyoto.
